We are planning a meeting at 7pm on Tuesday Oct 29th at Gail Ramsay's house. Email Gail for her address and directions.

Come or use "Go to Meeting" to hear/see what Diane Melms did at her recent class at "the barn" with Nancy Crow, learn about the Earth, Fire, and Fiber exhibit entrants and winners, and much more.
Learn more about the SAQA AK Holomon Blue Gallery exhibit (scheduled for the month of November 2014) and get the scoop on Diane's new "artist cards" idea.

Thanks, Cat Larea, for setting up "go to meeting" for us again!

Welcome, Congratulations and Opportunities

Wendy Smith-Wood has an exhibit at Middleway Cafe this month.  Wendy is a new SAQA member.  We welcome her and hope those in the Anchorage will be able to get by to see her exhibit. Wendy is offering workshops, retreats and custom instruction at her studio and cabins at mile 111 Glenn Hwy, at the base of the beautiful Sheep Mountain and just above the Matanuska Glacier.  Contact her to learn more about her summer schedule workshops in shibori and dye techniques.

Maria Shell is one of the Featured Artists for the Surface Design Association's conference this month.  Part of that honor is having her work on display at the Gallery Nord in San Antonio, Texas for the month of June. Congratulations, Maria!
